My name is Ruth Taylor. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor (LCSW-S) and a member of The Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over thirty years and I have experience in Individual Therapy. With everything occurring in today’s world it’s really important to have a healthy perspective about life. My goal is to help you explore strategies that will help you regain the hope you may have lost; develop a healthier self esteem, improve your confidence and take control of your life.
ALL ABOUT ME
I have worked as a clinical social worker, supervisor, and administrator in both the public and private health care systems. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Service at Prairie View A&M University, a Master of Sociology from University of Toledo and a Master of Social Work from University of Houston. My philosophy is that every human being has value and worth. I exemplify that in my work with clients.
Sometimes shame, guilt, sadness, grief, career challenges and other circumstances in life can be overwhelming. When a person reaches out to a therapist that is the beginning of acknowledging their need for support greater than themselves. You have exemplified courage in taking the first step toward healing.
